Use TellMyDocs to experience a better form of communication with patients and physicians
If you are a physician or know someone who is a physician, you can sign up with your medical group and prescribe the app to your patients to use.
Once your medical group creates an account with TellMyDocs, it will be able to add any doctor that wishes to use the app.
As a doctor, you can prescribe TellMyDocs to your patients and easily onboard them to the mobile application during their office visit.
Once the patient has downloaded the application, a doctor can find him or her by first or last name and make a connection with them automatically. You can also send alerts on behalf of a patient as well.
With a doctor account, you can receive alerts about your patient, forward alerts to other physicians, add/edit your list of patients. You will also get contact information and directions to the hospital a patient is admitted to directly from the app.
HOW DOES IT WORK FOR PATIENTS?
When a patient downloads the app, he or she receives a special code. Patients can share their code with whomever they want; a family member or friend must enter it in order to connect with the patient. To connect to a physician, a patient searches by last name and specialty - if your physician is using TellMyDocs you will be able to find him or her and make an automatic connection.
When a patient is going to the hospital, he or she will click the alert button and a list of the closest hospitals based on his or her geolocation will display. Then, the patient selects the hospital and a push notification will be sent to the patient’s connections alerting them that the patient is on the way to that particular hospital.
When a patient has been discharged from the hospital, the app will send a notification to the patient asking if he or she has been discharged. Once the patient responds to the notification, the app will send discharge alerts to the patients’ connections. A patient may also alert his or her connections manually by pressing the "I'm Going Home" button in the app.
HOW DOES IT WORK FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS?
Use TellMyDocs to keep track of relatives or friends who regularly go to the hospital.
When a patient downloads the app, he or she will receive a unique code that you must enter into your list of connections in order to connect to that particular patient. This unique identifier creates privacy for a patient.
Once you are connected to the patient, you will receive alerts whenever the patient triggers a hospital admittance or hospital discharge alert. You will also be able to get contact information and directions to the hospital directly from the app. You are also able to send alerts on behalf of a patient as well.
Family and friend users cannot connect to physicians; only patients are able to connect to physicians.
TellMyDocs uses a GPS location service to find hospitals near you. Continuous usage of this location service may drain your device's battery usage.
