In Summertime Saga, your character is a young college boy who is struck by the death of his father. Mysterious circumstances surrounding the death are only the beginning of his problems as he learns that his father was in debt to a group of shady criminals. As a dating sim game, Summertime Saga is designed with non-linear gameplay. This means that players are free to explore any part of the city at their leisure and interact with over 65 characters along the way. However, keep in mind that they can only complete up to three events per day. Once players complete three events, they must sleep and start a new day.

In Summertime Saga, your character can improve their abilities by engaging in various activities throughout the game. For instance, going to the gym can enhance their physical appearance. As you progress through different events, your character's skills will gradually level up.

Players have the opportunity to have romantic connections with a variety of characters throughout the game. This mechanic is similar to other visual novels, allowing players to learn more about the characters as they build relationships with them. By progressing through the game and interacting with these characters, players can unravel unique backstories and uncover interesting details that add depth to the overall narrative.
