Speevolco - Volume Controller

App to increase volume as speed increases and decrease volume as speed decreases

A matured app to increase volume when speed increases and decrease volume as speed decreases. There are four modes supported in this app. They are

i. Car.

ii. Bike.

iii. Cycle.

iv. Jog OR Walk.

User should select any one of these modes and start the app. Volume modulation occurs based on the speed settings of these modes.

Permissions Required:

LOCATION PERMISSION: This permission is required to get user's GPS locations to calculate the speed.

NOTE: This app doesn't share any data with the third party.

1 How to use this app?

   i. Choose your mode.

   ii. In your mobile, current volume of music stream becomes the initial volume.(volume doesn't get reduced below this level when using the app.)

   iii. Press the play button. That's it, you are ready for a wonderful experience of listening to music.

NOTE 1: If you are using android wear device, make sure it's connected to your mobile device. Initial volume level for the app can be set only through the mobile device.

NOTE 2: When using the app in car, It is suggested to set your car's music player volume to an appropriate level when the car is not moving because when the car starts and gains speed, the volume also increases and it may turn out to be louder than you expected.

NOTE 3: At high speeds, if you feel volume level is intolerable, set the maximum tolerable volume in Settings under Maximum Volume.

NOTE 4: Night mode gets enabled from 9PM to 7AM on the next day. Under this period, initial volume gets lowered automatically(when Night Mode is enabled in Settings) as the external noise will be less comparatively.

NOTE 5: When you are elevating, enabling Elevation Mode from Settings allows you to control volume level based on the elevation and speed. This feature is not guaranteed as it depends on the quota available to honor elevation fetch requests from the server. However if enough quota is available to fetch elevation levels, you can enjoy volume controlling based on elevation and speed too.

NOTE 6: Reduce Volume below Minimum Speed setting reduces volume of the mobile device when speed is below the minimum speed of a mode. As soon as the speed increases above the minimum speed of a mode, volume gets gradually increased to the initial volume. If this setting is enabled, volume modulation happens only when speed is below the minimum value and at rest of the times, volume will be maintained constantly at initial volume.

2. Why do I need internet to get GPS location?

  GPS has a relatively slow time to first fix, and from a cold start (meaning without a last known position), it can take up to 15 minutes to download the data it needs from the satellites to calculate a position. A-GPS used by cellular networks shortens this time by using the cellular network to deliver the satellite data to the phone. Fixing of appropriate position also depends on the hardware available in your mobile. It's a best practice to use internet while using this app.

3. Can I play music from any music player?

  Yes, you can play music from any music player and then start the app OR start the app and play from any music player.

4. What are the music sources that are supported by this app?

  Music sources can be Radio, any music or video player, online videos like YouTube etc.

Troubleshooting Tips

  If you feel the volume is low or not increasing though the speed is increasing, check Maximum Volume in Settings whether it is less than the mobile's maximum volume OR Reduce Volume below Minimum Speed setting is enabled. Also check whether the GPS is fixed properly by opening Google Maps OR any other app which work on GPS.

If you are unable to send messages to mobile device from the wear device, make sure the wear device and the mobile devices are connected.
