The Wholesale operator then incorporates this key number, their target email any other user/route information required in outbound messages which are then delivered to the device. On receipt at the handset, the app recognises the key number and silently receives the message. It then responds by sending an email to the address provided together with the user/route information, MSISDN, server time, device time.
For Wholesale providers, send a message to the target handset via the route to test in the following format:
KEY NUMBER,[email protected],your route code (KEY NUMBER=7 digit number)
When/if the message arrives, you'll receive an email confirming receipt and returning your route code.
SMS messages are received and processed silently on the handset as long as the app is running and the key number correctly presented in the trigger text message.
