Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 of the European Parliament protects the rights of passengers travelling by plane in the case of operational irregularities of EU airlines in both directions or in the case of departures of non-EU carriers from EU airports.
Passengers are entitled e.g. to refreshments, hotel accommodation, flight redirection, money reimbursement or financial compensation in the case that:
- their flight is delayed for more than three hours;
- their flight is cancelled unless it was announced at least 14 days ahead of time (except for Force Majeure events);
- they are denied boarding against your will.
If you have no time, do not speak any foreign language or simply do not want to be hassled with the compensation request, just send in the basic information about your flight through the application SkyPlan.eu.
