currently up to 3 different animated gif widgets are supported, with no limit on how many can be created. to add widgets, simply press the + button in the title bar, find the file you wish to use, then select which widget number the Gif should be. the gifs which you create will appear on the home screen of the app.
Additional information for users:
-gif widget 1, 2 and 3 can appear in a different order in the widget menu, depending on the model of tablet or phone running the app. If you have set up a widget and it does not load when placed, check the other two widgets.
-Gif files work best and run without problems if they are stored in the root storage area of the phone or tablet. In most cases, this will be the /storage/emulated/0/ folder, however other directories do also work.
-Gif files must remain on the device (or sd card) as long as you want to keep the widget active.
in response to user feedback, unfortunately there is nothing that can be done when the error “error decoding gif: file not found” is given. Gif files which are used to make a widget cannot be deleted (or if they are on an SD card, the card must remain in the same drive where the widget was set up) for the lifetime of the widget, because the gif is required to be decoded when the widget is running. it is safest to store the gif file you want to make a widget in /storage/emulated/0. if you have trouble playing a widget, first try to recreate the widget in the app as in most cases this will resolve the issue.
