To use the SchoolApp the school must have activated the SchoolApp module. To activate the SchoolApp, the user must enter the domain name of the school, for example www.schoolsunited.co.uk. The SchoolApp automatically checks if the site exists and is live and then retrieves the data from the school website. The domain name, including pointing the app to a different school domain name, can be managed through the "Settings" button in the app.
In SchoolApp offers the following functionality:
- Visit the school
- Call the school
- Email School
- Photo Albums
- Navigate to the school
- Contact Information
- Push notifications
- Configuration (check here and you change the domain name)
The SchoolApp links to the database of the school and uses either a wireless or standard GPRS connection.
Should you have 2 children attending 2 different schools and both schools use SchoolsUnited software, for the time being, you will only be able register 1 school.
