Ping My Locale

Ping My Locale is a quick and easy way to send another person your location details. This app is a secure, perfect solution for teenagers who periodically need to check-in with their parents, individuals who are lost and need assistance, etc.

See below step-by-step instructions on how to use this application:

1.) Launch the application

2.) Select a user in your phone-book (using the red "FIND") button or type in the recipients phone number. The Google Map is shown for information only as to your current position.

3.) Click the "Push Location" button.

4.) The recipient you selected will then receive a text message with a Google Maps link. Upon clicking this link, they will be routed to a Google Map that will show your location.

NOTE: Caution should be used when utilizing GPS. Due to non-standard power requirements of GPS, it is best practice to ensure that the user's device is charging when using this application.
