The ipUnplugged Mobile Client enables secure connectivity and seamless roaming across any combination of IP networks. Authorized users can move freely between secure and non-secure networks without losing their connection. ipUnplugged even transparently adapts to maintain VoIP connections while users are in-motion, for example while they are communicating on a train, roaming through an airport, or in a car.

Easy to set up and easy to use, ipUnplugged allows the workforce to securely roam over corporate and public networks, both wired and wireless. From one network to another, roaming is fast and seamless, with no impact on application performance, including VoIP. No intervention is ever required by the user.

Wireless Security

Ensure data from all mobile devices is transmitted and received through ipUnplugged, providing end-to-end encryption between mobile workers and corporate applications. All data can be encrypted with a FIPS 140-2 encryption algorithm such as AES 256 bits.

User Security

Leverage fully-integrated, industry-leading user and device authentication technologies to comply with corporate and government security policies, such as FBI CJIS, HIPPA, and PCI DSS. ipUnplugged uses Windows Active Directory and communicates with a RADIUS server to validate passwords using two-factor authentication. Additional user-password authentication can be achieved using digital certificates, smart cards, biometric systems and software tokens.

Secure Guest Access

ipUnplugged’s unique Internet Access Control (IAC) functionality gives guest users secure access to the Internet via a web-login page, all while restricting them from accessing the organization’s internal resources. Companies can give visitors, temporary users or consultants access to the Internet without opening up a door to the corporate LAN and without installing any special client software. IAC can be optionally paired with payment system integration, enabling guest users to access the Internet as a paid service.

Standards-Based

ipUnplugged is the industry’s only mobile VPN solution built on Mobile IP and IPsec open standards. These standards constantly monitor the location of a device and the network resources being used, and adjust the encryption level accordingly to ensure optimal performance. ipUnplugged ensures automatic, secure connectivity for users within their enterprise network or when moving to a non-secure network.

Scalability

ipUnplugged supports an unlimited number of mobile clients. Additional clients and gateways can be easily added at any time. Through advanced load balancing techniques, clients are automatically spread across multiple gateways, based on system load at any given time

Redundancy

To improve system availability and reliability, ipUnplugged synchronizes gateways. Should one gateway go down, the system remains operational.
