This new application will be aimed at merging both store features and social content into a single platform.

Sources revealed that rather than replacing the existing iOS App Store and the Game Center, the new application will assimilate features from both. The proposed functionality is somewhat similar to the Xbox app that allows players to browse through their friend's profiles, play games and access editorialized content and recommendations among other features.
