This app gives you the rules to read an English word. Exampe: How to read the word: "information"? There will be several steps to read it: 1. The stressed syllable will be [ma] because it is right before the suffix [-tion]. And the suffix [-tion] will be read as [ʃən]. 2. [a] is read as [eɪ] because [a] + one consonant (except [r]) + [ia, ie, io, iu]. 3. The syllable "in" is the secondary stressed one because it is one syllable before the stressed syllable. 4. [in] will be read as [ɪn]. Because when [i] is in a primary/secondary stressed syllable, [i] is read as [ɪ]. 5. [for] is read as [fər]. Because when [o] is in a unstressed syllable it will be read as [ə].
In combination, [information] is read as [ˌɪnfərˈmeɪʃn].
Additionally, with each of the above rule, this app will suggest you some more words, in which the same rule are applied. And for the correct pronunciation, it will display your word in Oxford Learner's Dictionary for your convenience in comparing. Please notice to compare with North American English (NAmE) pronunciation.
English pronunciation is always a disaster, but now you have a tool limit it. It is much better for me to remember the rules and some other exceptional words, which does not follow any rule.
Last but not least, by using this app, you will be so confident when reading a word like "Brexit". That kind of word is not always up-to-date in any dictionary.
