Have you ever been at a sporting event or a concert and wanted to discuss tactics, plays, set lists, etc with other people at the event?
Have you ever been stuck in traffic at a complete stand-still and wish you had a way with communicating with someone that could see what was going on?
Have you ever wanted to meet someone at a bar or party but were too nervous to go up to them in person?
Are you in school and want to discuss the material with other people in your class or school?
If you said yes to any of these questions or can see yourself ever being in a similar situation, then you should give RadiusRoom a try!
Once you log in and assign yourself a RadiusRoom alias, you can set a custom 'Chat Radius' and begin chatting with other people within that radius. Any message that has been sent within your radius will appear in your chat window and any messages you send will be seen by anyone who has their radius set to include your location.
Abbey logs in and wants to talk to people in her town, so she sets her chat radius to 5 miles.
Becky logs in and wants to talk to people in her state, so she sets her chat radius to 300 miles.
While Abbey and Becky are within 5 miles of each other, they can chat like normal. Once they become 6 miles apart, however, Abbey will no longer see Becky in her list of users and will no longer receive her messages. Becky, on the other hand, will continue to see Abbey's messages, but will be alerted that she is out of Abbey's 'Chat Radius', so Abbey will no longer see any messages Becky sends.
While this may sound confusing, it's very straight forward once you try it out! You can set your 'Chat Radius' to anywhere between 0.1 and 300 Miles so you can connect with people on the same block or people in the same state, it's up to you!
So only one question remains: What will you talk about in the RadiusRoom?
