When buying or selling a landed property or condominium, 2 important factors affecting the sales process.
External factors that are beyond our control such as market timing, location and price while internal factors are things that are stemmed from within ourselves such as our risk appetite, investment horizons, investment objectives and our emotions e.g. (greed for more profits & the fear of losing out etc...)
There are also buyers who focus excessively only on one single aspect at the expense of the others.
These buyers are so "hot" in making quick profit that they end up taking unnecessary risks.
Some have even let their emotions cloud their judgement and they end up paying more than what the property is worth.
On the other hand many believing that if they hold on to the property investments and wait long enough the price will eventually go up.
But when you account for the cost of ownership if had they bought another property instead. They would have reaped the same profit in a much shorter time.
While in theory, anyone who has a sufficiently long investment horizon will certainly expect to make money from the real estate market.
I believe there are plenty of opportunities available !!!
There are others out there who are still holding out after taking profits from their resale proceeds while living in their rented homes believing that the market will fall sharper so that they can catch a good bargain.
