USB Camera

View compatible USB cameras on your Android phone or tablet. USB Camera brings live UVC preview, photo capture and local video recording together for external webcams, supported USB endoscopes and USB HDMI capture devices.

Connect your camera

Use a phone or tablet with USB Host / OTG support and a suitable adapter. Connect a compatible UVC device, select it in the app and allow the camera and USB access requested by Android.

Capture photos and record video

Take photos from the live USB camera image and record video to local MP4 files. Browse saved photos and recordings in the app, play recorded videos and export captured media when you want to keep a copy outside the app.

View your way

Choose a full-frame view or proportional fill, and switch to landscape fullscreen. Use digital zoom to inspect the preview and rotate the view to suit your camera setup. Digital zoom enlarges the preview; it does not add detail to the original video. Optionally show the received resolution, frame rate and video format. Keep the screen awake while the app is in the foreground.

Connection help

Use the built-in connection help and device information during setup. If the picture does not appear, check USB Host / OTG support, permissions, adapter, power and the device's supported video formats.

Compatibility matters

A compatible UVC camera or capture device is required. An HDMI source needs a USB video capture device that provides UVC video input; a USB-C to HDMI display-output cable alone is not sufficient. Device and format support vary by phone, Android version, adapter and camera. Detection alone does not guarantee that every video format will work.

Some features or usage limits may require an in-app purchase. Check the purchase screen for the current options and terms before buying.

Permissions and privacy

Camera and USB access are used to open the selected external video device. Captured media and display preferences are stored locally on your device. The app uses Firebase Analytics for app usage measurement. Read the privacy policy for information about analytics and diagnostic reports you choose to submit.
