If someone sees a lost pet wandering around, it's quick and easy to pull out your phone and take a photo. The location is stored with the image and uploaded to the cloud, where it's shared with anyone else in the app. If you plan on taking the pet home or to a shelter, a quick phone number entry allows you to punch in a contact number that's shared with anyone looking at the photo. If you're just helping out with a quick photo, though, no phone number is necessary.
If you're searching for your lost furry friend, you simply click on the listings button and it'll automatically determine where you are, and get a listing of nearby lost pets... sorted with the closest at the top! Tapping on an entry not only shows a larger image, to help identify if it really is your lost pet, but also shows a marker on a map where the photo was taken. Now you'll know where to start looking!
You can also search the list and look for multiple sightings, with each sighting marked by the date and time the photo was taken.
Note: An internet connection (WiFi/3G/4G/LTE), and Google Play Services are required to use this app.
