I favored this sauce! I doubled the sauce, tho' and created the subsequent changes: I omitted the bean curd utterly and burned with chicken instead. I conjointly superimposed onions, garlic, and sweet red peppers. rather than chili paste, I cut a chili pepper and cooked it up with the remainder of the veggies. stunning flavor! I used shanghai noodles that very brought out the flavor. thus, albeit I modified the instruction around slightly, it had been fantastic and that I provide it five stars for the sauce and also the ability. YUM!
My husband and that I wasn't fans of this instruction. To ME the bean curd was like having chunks of Belgian waffles within the fry... we have a tendency to picked it out and Ate the remainder, that was alright.
Overall a good instruction. However, I created some modifications: 1) seasoned bean curd w/ condiment and flavoring before coating in cornstarch; 2) conjointly superimposed sugar peas, minced garlic, and onions to carrots; 3) used Sriracha rather than chili paste; 4) superimposed some salt at the top. Seasoning the bean curd before asylum coating created it tastier and not bland. I'll most likely use soy paste in the sauce next time rather than condiment in sauce combine b/c my sauce really came out additional watery than I likable. I conjointly superimposed Sesamum indicum seeds at the top (see pic). But, straightforward instruction to figure with and nice orange flavor!
this can be very yummy! I don't usually love bean curd however cooked up like this, it may become a staple in my home. Even my meat intake husband was affected. I might use totally different veggies next time as I do not very realize carrots suit this dish. Peppers and snap peas would most likely be excellent.
