The incident took place around 12noon when Hasan, 26, son of

Shahidullah of Manoharganj, stabbed Faruk during a hearing on the murder case at the Cumilla Additional District and Sessions Judge’s court, said Md Salauddin, inspector (investigation) of Cumilla Kotwali Police Station.

Faruk and Hasan are cousins and both are accused in the murder case, the police official said.

They went to the court to appear before it in connection with the case, he further said.
