Starting the App and Start Recording locations you visit !

Manual Method:

Start Portal Tracker

Click on “SHOW FLOATING ICON” to get the floating recording window that you will place over your other applications. By hitting this button, the app will record your Location as GPS coordinates by date and time.

Minimize the app and start recording by hitting the Floating icon whenever you wish to record a portal you would like to record your visit at - see below for finding Guardians at a later date.

Auto-Record Method

This method will auto record any portal you come within 365 feet of - and will only work for the Regions that are available (see available regions below). This method records all portals that you pass by, but not necessarily perform any action on.

Both options above can be used simultaneously, the software will allow you to export data that is auto-recorded vs Manually recorded - so that you can differentiate.

Tracking Guardian Portals

If you’re interested in tracking Guardian portals the following steps can be used:

​

-Record your location EVERY time you take over a Portal Ownership.

-Get your current Guardian Count (in days) and then subtract the number of days from Today’s date, to determine your target dates that you want to load your GPS data to locate possible candidates.. Best to do this for -3 +3 days because counters are sometimes a day or three off.

-Export your GPX data from Portal Tracker selecting the Target Dates you wish to upload.

Import the GPX exports into IIT(Cee) (need the KML GPX import script on the plugins page located at the IIT(Cee) website)

-Any pins that overlay a portal are potential Guardians, in particular you should look for Portals being the color of your faction, and then clicking on those portals you can quickly see if you still own the portal.

Auto Record available for the following locations only, more added each month !

- Florida (entire state)

- Gulf Coast Cities (Mobile AL, GulfPort, Biloxi, New Orleans, Lafayette, Beumont, Galveston, Corpus Christie) and all portals between these points stopping at Mexico.

- Indonesia (entire country)

- Panama

- Puerto Rico
