December 2nd action occurred on December 2, 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia where at least thousands of people back demanding off Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), which has been named as a suspect in a case of alleged blasphemy.

The action is the second prosecution against Ahok events in 2016 after previous protests occurred on November 4.

At first, the action plan was held on November 25, but later agreed to be held on December 2, 2016.

The action was held in the courtyard of the National Monument, Jakarta. The number of participants attending ranged from 200 thousand to 1 million more.

In this action, a number of activities carried out is to pray and perform Friday prayers together. President Joko Widodo attended this event and were welcomed by the demonstrators.
