Netmarble, a well-known company that creates and releases high-quality mobile games, has just released the July 2023 update for Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. This new update brings in an original Weapon Liberation system which allows players to enhance their gear even further than before. Additionally, it also starts Field Boss Season 7, bringing more thrill and enjoyment to the gameplay experience.
New Weapon Liberation System
With the introduction of the Weapon Liberation system, players now have the ability to upgrade their equipment beyond level 30 and 6★. By undergoing liberation, weapons can be equipped with new Wisps that offer special sub-stats and greatly enhance combat abilities. These Wisps come with unique skills, allowing players to customize their gameplay by creating Wisp Contracts that align with their specific needs.
Obtaining materials for Weapon Liberation and acquiring Wisps in the game can be done by exploring dungeons, defeating Field Bosses, and interacting with the Traveling Merchant. Additionally, the July 2023 update introduces a new challenge called Field Boss Season 7: Corrupted Giganti. Players who manage to overcome this powerful enemy will have the opportunity to obtain the Yeti Hunter outfit as they complete the newly introduced field boss season pass.
Dungeons Drop Weapons
Players are given the chance to experience more intense Dimensional Border raids. Each week, one of the dungeons in the Dimensional Border will be chosen as a special event dungeon where players can face an extra challenging level called Hero Level difficulty.
In addition, there is a new special dungeon called time attack where players can earn rewards based on how well they perform. This motivates them to try and complete the dungeon as quickly as possible in order to receive better prizes.
Weapon Liberation
Moreover, these special dungeons also provide materials for a new feature called Weapon Liberation, which encourages players, even more to participate in raids and defeat difficult bosses.

Numerous activities are being offered to commemorate the launch of the Weapon Liberation system and the introduction of Corrupted Giganti, such as:
- Rabina’s Special Guidebook: Completing missions related to the 'Weapon Liberation' system can lead to various benefits such as acquiring Weapon Essence and Craftsman's Tempering Agents.
- Platypaws’s Summer Vacation: Finish the event stages to receive various rewards including Equipment Summon Coupons, Artifact Summon Coupons, and Star Aura Bells!
- Surprise Field Boss Conquest Event: When defeating Corrupted Giganti during the event period, players can obtain a Sealed Giganti Ring.
- Summer Medal Exchange Event: In order to obtain Summer Medals, players need to either defeat monsters with the Fire element or successfully clear the Dimensional Border. These medals can then be traded for various thrilling rewards such as chests containing Miraculous Warding Doll Selections, packs of 6★ Tetro Puzzles, and scrolls that enhance luck amplification.
