LIONA's Evangelion Battlefields, an action-packed RPG game, will be closing down on July 27th this year. The developers have made the decision to end its service after being available on mobile platforms for more than three years.
Content dissatisfaction is listed as the reason for shutting down
The game called Evangelion Battlefields was first released on April 2, 2020, and it took inspiration from the Rebuild of Evangelion movies. In all modes of gameplay, the player is placed in a circular arena with a team consisting of two pilots and two Evas (central characters). The objective is to select weapons from Eva's armament which includes three options at any given time.
Evangelion Battlefields was a popular game in Japan with many players, but there were always concerns about its presentation and global availability. Unfortunately, these issues could not be resolved and the official announcement of the game's shutdown has now been made.
The developers stated in their announcement that they carefully thought about the decision. After considering factors such as the game's recent content, its characteristics and potential profitability, it was determined that continuing with the game would be challenging. As a result, they have decided to end it. The Final Season 20 has been launched and will continue until its termination.
The sale of gems has stopped on May 26 and the Battle Pass is no longer available. On July 27, the game will be taken down from App Stores on all platforms. Additionally, players can request a refund between August 1 to September 30 if they wish to do so.
