Free official guide to the Museo Galileo. This guide will accompany your visit with audio commentary, text pages, and videos as you discover the outstanding collections of scientific instruments gathered over approximately four centuries by the Medici and Lorraine dynasties. Toward the mid-sixteenth century, Cosimo I de’ Medici formed the first nucleus of the collections exhibited in the Museum today. Highlights include all the original instruments designed by Galileo, including his only two surviving telescopes. The guide provides information on all the items on display.
