Mindfulness meditation (or vipassana) comes from the oldest tradition of Buddhism, the Theravada. Mindfulness is simply a state of clear, nonjudgmental, and nondiscursive attention to the contents of consciousness, whether pleasant or unpleasant. Developing this quality of mind has been shown to reduce pain, anxiety, and depression; improve cognitive function; and even produce changes in gray matter density in regions of the brain related to learning and memory, emotional regulation, and self-awareness.

Inside this app you'll find 8 guided meditations created by UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center's Director for Mindfulness Education, Diana Winston. You can find different guided meditations with different lengths. There're meditations for sleeping, loving kindness, working with difficulties, breathing, etc. to help you develop your powers of observation and letting go.
