In 2008, we combined practitioner experience with an exhaustive examination of 30 years of M&A research to identify the key drivers of value in each phase of M&A activity. Value drivers were tagged and we invited prominent Australian and US corporate acquirers to assist us in validating each of these. This process gave rise to our proprietary SETUP4Success ® benchmarking and leading practice framework.
In 2011 we opened our office in New York and launched our sell-side practice. Our presence in New York extended our access to capital and opportunities and the deployment of the MergeCo Investor Readiness Assessment™ gave our clients the ability to see their business through the eyes of private equity and corporate acquirers for the first time. 2013 saw the addition of our Melbourne office and access to an unlimited supply of good coffee.
