The main information details the Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBA) for each country. For most of them you will see their location on the Google Maps and you can find out useful information on the site such as the key bird species.
It is possible for the user to add their own Point of Interest data for an IBA, which can be shared across the app users.
Whilst site data is at the heart of the apps use there are also factsheets for all the key species found in these Mediterranean region countries.
This app is produced as part of the International Project on Ornithological Tourism (IPOT).
IPOT has been coordinated and managed by SEO/BirdLife in Spain with the collaboration of other bird conservation organisations in Cyprus (BirdLife Cyprus), Greece (HOS) and Portugal (SPEA), and with input from BirdLife International for this Mediterranean Birds App.
This Project is funded by Leonardo Transfer of Innovation Programme which is part of the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme (project 2011-1-ES1-LEO05-35897)
