Your courier/delivery driver securely logs in and the app downloads your customer database from the cloud-based Local Delivery Manager system. All deliveries scheduled on the selected date are listed on-screen. The courier can then mark them as “out for delivery” as they are loaded onto the van. New deliveries can be scheduled within the app by using the quick search tool to locate a customer. New customers can also be added right within the app. Address label barcodes (printed via the online manager) can be scanned using the device's camera allowing existing customers to be located instantly.
Deliveries are automatically placed in sequence of distance from the starting point. The driver can obtain directions to each customer on the route via Google Maps or any other Sat Nav app installed on the device. All deliveries can also be viewed on an interactive map right within the app. This allows the driver to see an overview of the route and change the suggested delivery sequence if required.
The courier can record the outcome of each delivery in the app. This includes recording an on-screen recipient signature. The results are automatically synchronised back to the Local Delivery Manager database as soon as there is a data connection available.
The app can optionally send out automated SMS notifications via your device to update the customer on the status of their delivery.
The app records the current GPS location of the courier. This tracking data is sent back to the Local Delivery Manager database so that the company's manager can track the location and progress of the courier. Live information is displayed on a Google Map within the online application, giving a quick and detailed overview.
