About Kids Maths Trainer

English

Customize a maths practice program for your child and monitor their improvement.

Help your child improve their mental arithmetic. Math-O-Matic is designed to enable parents to actively assist their children practice and improve their mental arithmetic.

Configure a collection of exercises to individually suite your child's unique needs.

Monitor your child's progress and see where your child makes mistakes or has difficulties.

Adjust the program to support you child further.

The app does not require any special permissions and does not contain any advertisements which can distract your child from learning.

In more detail:

Define a program as a set of individual exercises. The duration of each exercise and therefore the duration of the whole exercise program can be determined precisely. It is important that children are not burdened for too long with exercises which are too difficult. Regular practice, even when not very long, is more effective than irregular practice.

Exercises can be stipulated as optional or mandatory for the practice program.

Exercises which you have defined can be easily switched on or off in the practice program, so you can quickly adjust which exercises are practiced.

Construct individual exercises from a selection of exercise templates. Each exercise template can be configured individually - to adjust difficulty or be very specific about what you want to practice:

Practice Multiplication Tables: Practice specific multiplication tables by repetition. Eg. 2x4=, 3x4=, 4x4=...

Test Multiplication Tables: Multiplications randomly selecting multiplications from specific ranges of values. Eg. 8x7, 3x2, 4x5...

Total Sum / Mental Tallying: A running total must be remembered whilst adding additional values to the total. Eg. 40+4+5+6, where the numbers displayed are 40, +4, +5 and +6= respectively.

Upperbounded Sum: Given some maximum value, say 100, we choose two random numbers who's sum is < 100. Eg. 45+32, 10+39.

Practice mental division as the inverse of multiplication tables.

New exercise programs will be added in future releases together with bug fixes ( and not as in app purchases ).
