Vanco Solutions is an evidenced based calculator for demonstrating vancomycin dosing and managing techniques. What makes Vanco Solutions so useful in this regard is that it streamlines & simplifies the time consuming and tedious process of calculating creatinine clearance & weight-based dosing - and even calculates and selects the most appropriate weight (TBW, IBW, etc.) to be used for the respective calculations.

While the initial vancomycin dosing tool is the main function of the app, Vanco Solutions also features tools for calculating dose adjustments, time delays, assessing potential AKI & determining the AUC/MIC ratio for a given therapy.

Vanco Solutions' clinical calculator design is supported by evidence based medicine consisting of multiple clinical practice guidelines and clinical studies. These sources are all listed with links to the articles in the Reference section, with the rationale behind their use included (with citations) in the App Guide section. This allows clinicians to understand the decision making behind the app design as well as give well-deserved credit to the publishing authors.
