ScreenOn

ScreenOn is an app that turns your screen on and optionally unlocks it.

It is intended to be used in conjunction with a scripting/automation tool like AutomateIt, Tasker or Llama. Automation is the only use for this app.

In response to the bad reviews. You need to use one of the automation apps to DO SOMETHING AFTER THIS IS RUN. This does not attempt to replace the above. Just run this app, the screen comes on, then run the app you actually want to see on the screen! :) Easy. Now update your reviews!

If enabled, it will also attempt to unlock the device. You may need to experiment with Keyguard and Wakelock combinations depending on your particular device. Keyguard unlock might not work while any DevicePolicyManager is enabled that requires a password.

It was created to turn on a HP Touchpad in the morning running a photoframe app.

Tested on :

- HP touchpad - CM9 ICS 4.0.4

- HTC Velocity (Holiday/Vivid/Raider) - ICS 4.0.4

- HTC Wildfire - CM7 2.3.7

Permissions:

WAKE_LOCK - Needed to turn on the phone.

DISABLE_KEYGUARD - Needed to unlock the phone (if enabled).
