Realtime Subway Map

This app will show realtime, estimated subway train positions on a map for the New York City subway system.

The app currently covers the following subway lines:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, B, D, N, R, Q and W (additional lines will be added later).

If you are a visual person, then seeing subway train positions on a map in live can help you to quickly assess whether you need to rush to catch that upcoming train or you still have time to pick up your morning coffee.

At rush hours there are many hundreds of trains in operation in the NYC subway system. If your map looks a bit crowded, then we suggest that in the settings you pick the trains you are interested in, so only those will be displayed on your map.

Remember, that while we do our best to estimate the trains' current positions, these are estimated train positions, so a few seconds of difference to real arrival/departure times can occur.
