*"Jomon Aomori" Shinchosha (2014/2/28)
We visited the Jomon excavation sites in Aomori Prefecture and captured with state-of-the-art photography the pottery, "dogu" clay figures and artifacts for the reader. Not as archeological objects, our intent is to show the unearthed utensils as "things" made by real people. We try to let these things tell their stories and reveal their mysteries. This is a visual book, giving insights into the sentiments of the creators of these artifacts and allows the user to feel the warm hands of people who lived millennia ago.
