Jikan is a simple and easy to use days abroad counter and log. Jikan has a simple design, it has no adverts and is easy on you battery. Jikan is light weight and installs quickly. Jikan does not require a persistent internet connection and works in flight mode. Jikan looks best on iPhone but has no trouble with iPad or iPod. Jikan offers backups in the form of e-mails summarizing a tax season.
Jikan was design to provide a utility on mobile devices so that travelers could easily and quickly jot down their day of departure or return and know without hassle their days abroad and accumulated days abroad with respect to taxation.
Jikan keeps your depart date from your country of taxation and return date to your country of taxation in a table of 12 possible trips for each tax season. Jikan then works out your days abroad, excluding the days of departure and return.
Jikan is to avoid relying on any online features requiring registration or personal details such as third party cloud storage (Note: Your Apple device may decide based on how it is configured to backup Jikan and its user data to your apple cloud service).
Jikan's doesn't require an internet connection for users to add or remove dates. The e-mail features will require an internet connection to send an e-mail.
Jikan assumes that with custom tax season start and end dates and excluding days of departure and return as days abroad that it is compliant with all tax laws in all counties however please note that Jikan does not guarantee validity of information with regards to taxation. User information is stored locally and may be lost if deleted, removed, uninstalled or corrupted. Jikans e-mail backup feature relies on the user setting up their default e-mail client correctly and relies on its users e-mail service. Jikan does provide a submit bug or feature request feature at the bottom of the help tab but does not guarantee that it will meet with all request or reports.
