Log Your Mod aims to protect vehicle owners from fake or poorly engineered aftermarket parts, and give them a tool to make better decisions. It does this by logging the data through your Bluetooth OBD2 reader to create a before/after chart and compare if your aftermarket parts have provided any improvements to your vehicle.

With so many aftermarket parts now flooding the market, car owners are becoming less aware of how these parts are actually affecting their vehicle's performance. Most are having to rely on results posted by manufacturers, and are unaware of how they may actually be losing performance instead - in the real world setting.

There have also been too many fake or fraudulent manufacturers who design parts just to get the best results in a single controlled test, than what would actually benefit a user on the roads in the long-term.

This app was created to help car owners to identify if aftermarket parts do improve the performance of their vehicle - beyond just horsepower/torque.

With the OBD2 data and mobile device sensors, an algorithm is applied to chart out your vehicle before and after installing an aftermarket part for easy comparison. It also summarises performance differences.

The aim is to help you better evaluate if the aftermarket parts does actually provide benefits that can't be seen on a dyno. By logging the data during YOUR driving condition and on YOUR roads, it also becomes more specific towards you, individually.

**Limitations**

Since the Log Your Mod app was created with a limited budget, decisions had to be made to stagger the full capabilities of the app, over time. This helps to better manage costs against what the users need. So the app will be regularly update with new functions, and tweaked according to feedback that you've provided. So if you wish to see something changed or added to the app, do send your feedback.

- Limited Reports

The current app has a limited number of reports - specifically towards the air induction stage, which was felt to be the most useful, as the induction stage would directly influence the power/torque of the vehicle.

- Metric Units Only

To reduce complexity and calculation errors, the reports are only available in metric units. Once the calculations have been perfected, Imperial units will be introduced as well.

- Bluetooth Only

Though ELM327 OBD2 readers are available in both Bluetooth and WiFi variant, the current app only supports bluetooth connectivity.
