An android application "SOS Alert Application" that can be used in any distress or panic situation within the college campus so that appropriate actions can be taken without delay, to resolve the problem. Application is use to send the SOS Alert Signals by the user to the concerned authorities of the College. The Alert will be sent via SMS, which will include alert type and user's current location in the campus. Alerts can be of Ragging alert, Fire alert, Eve-teasing alert or Power Cut-off alert etc. The application includes the location and alert selector which allows the user to set location of distress in the campus and alert type, also user can give further information about the distress situation. As the user clicks on the send button, SOS Alert including user's location, alert type and the further information about the distress will be sent to the concerned authorities of the College. Hence, quick action will be taken and those who were responsible for the situation will be caught red handed. For the security purpose contact number of the authorities will not be visible to the application user. Application also contains SOS-Ragging button which will automatically send the Ragging Alert to the concerned authorities of the college and simultaneously starts a call to the Anti Ragging Helpline number given by the government of India. There is an integrated Audio and Video Recorder within the application that can be used by the user in order to collect evidences against the culprit.
