We already know, people get paid for educating, whether they are teachers, sales people, advertisers and the list goes on.

But how effective is our current system? Rather than get paid for educating, why not get paid for being educated? The Internet already has plenty of material. The problem is no longer the lack of educators, but the lack of incentive for people to educate themselves.

Cash for Curiosity gives people a reason to learn. It is the first of its kind on Google Play to pay people for learning. There is no other app on Google Play that will pay you to simply pay attention and remember what you are told. People have already earned money from Cash for Curiosity for their hard work. When you download the app, you will see our current hall of fame, which lists our top earners and their payouts. This will give you an idea of what kind of earnings are possible even before you start.

HOW IT WORKS

People answer questions - they later get reviewed on those same questions. The longer term knowledge they have, the more they earn. Questions are simple fill in the blank so answers can be checked automatically.

Those that learn content are paid. The content is created by the author, but in future other users will be able to add their own content.

WHAT'S THE CATCH?

Where does the money come from and why is the author doing this?

Here's my plan. I believe that people need incentive to do good things. I also believe that what goes around comes around. I'll be honest, I'm hoping that the money paid to have people learn will attract more people to the app. When the app becomes more popular the downloads will increase. I'm hoping that I'll then be able to have a sponsor to keep the payments coming. Some of these could be companies now wanting to pay to add content. Some of the items you will learn will be advertisements. For example, you could be tested on the question "What airline in Australia has the best safety record?" The advertisements will educate people on the top brands and why they are the top. Those educated will then become motivated sales people for those brands to people in their own lives. It's human nature to want to share your knowledge particularly if you are an expert in a topic.

Another possibility. Some of the money will come from normal advertising within the application. These advertisements will just be normal advertisements running at the bottom of the app, normal advertisements that you see in Google Play apps that people make money from. Instead of just keeping the money from this, I'll pass it on to those that learn. I'll also keep some for myself to pay for the cost of developing the application.

PAYOUTS

All payouts are made by Paypal directly to your Paypal account. All you will need to provide is the email address linked to your Paypal account. All amounts shown are in US$.

Minimal work is required for a cash payout. You will not get a payout from a single use. You will need to come back after at least two hours to show you still remember the items. Before you start work the server will tell you exactly how much you will earn and how much need to learn to earn that amount so there are no surprises.
