The word Anand means complete happiness and it is said that the person who recites this Bani in the morning with dedication, attention, and comprehension will achieve happiness and peace of mind throughout the day. The Anand Sahib is a part of the Nitnem (daily prayers) which are read by Amritdhari Sikhs during Amrit Vela ( before dawn).
