Tawletna: Backgammon

Tawletna is classic backgammon with modern fairness: every online roll is provably fair. The server commits to the dice before the match starts, and after the match you can verify each roll you saw — in the app or in any browser. No feel, no trust-me. Proof.

THREE GAMES, THREE LADDERS

• Backgammon — the game you know, doubling cube and all

• Plakoto (Mahbusa) — nothing is ever hit. Land on a lone checker and you pin it where it stands; trap the mother on the starting point and you win double, instantly

• Fevga (Moultezim) — both sides run the same way round the board and never meet head-on. One checker owns a point, so you build walls instead of hitting

Each game has its own ranked ELO ladder and its own trained AI. One wallet across all three, and six daily missions — two for each game.

RANKED ONLINE PLAY

• Real opponents, server-checked moves, ELO rating and tier ladder

• The Crown Road: a lifetime reward track that grows with your ranked wins

• Ranked seasons — the first one is coming soon

• Friends, private matches with a room code, and a global leaderboard

NINE RIVALS WITH REAL PERSONALITIES

Play against nine hand-crafted rivals across three difficulty tiers — from friendly beginners to a neural-network Grandmaster. Each rival has its own temperament: the aggressive ones hunt your blots, the careful ones lock their board. Same rules, different characters.

LEARN THE GAME PROPERLY

• An illustrated guide with six lessons for each game, most of them played on the board itself — moving, hitting, pinning, building walls, the doubling cube, bearing off

• A live coach that flags blunders before you commit them, vs the AI and in pass-and-play (Tawletna+)

• Full match analysis that shows you the move you missed (Tawletna+)

Tawletna+ is an optional paid membership.

PLAY ANYWHERE

• Offline vs the AI — no internet needed

• Pass-and-play with a friend on one device

• Phones and tablets, light and dark themes, a shelf of board styles

MAKE IT YOURS

Boards, dice, profile rings, avatars and titles — earned through play or bought with coins in the store. Trophies, honor cups and a hall to show them off.

FAIR MEANS FAIR

No gambling, no stakes, no coin losses — rewards come from playing well. Online dice are cryptographically committed before each match and verifiable after it.

Backgammon is played around the world as Tavla, Tawla, Nardi and Shesh Besh, and its cousins as Mahbusa, Plakoto, Moultezim and Fevga — however you learned it, the board is waiting.
