We opened the first House of Bread Bakery Cafe in Oregon in October of 2012. The first House of Bread opened in San Luis Obispo, California, in 1996. Sheila McCann had a vision to recreate the delicious, wholesome bread that her Grandma had baked all her life on the family ranch in Montana. With this vision, Sheila opened up the House of Bread. What differentiates House of Bread from other bread companies is its use of high protein flours and top-quality, all-natural ingredients. From day one, customers knew that the House of Bread loaves were different. The House of Bread is a unique, micro-bakery featuring over twenty-five premium breads. In addition, we serve a tempting assortment of cinnamon rolls, muffins, scones...all made from scratch each and every day! The bakery also offers a healthy selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. All sandwiches are available any time and are made with Boar's Head Meats. Local Portland Roasting Company coffee and espresso are also served.
