The Festival of Saint Efisio is the most spectacular religious and folk celebration of Cagliari and Sardinia. Tradition, faith and folklore in an exceptional and unique event that gathers devotees and spectators from all over the island. The festival is also a popular tourist attraction for the many visitors who come to Cagliari every year, on May 1, to join the local crowd and watch the colorful parade through the streets of the centre, where they can admire the beautiful traditional dresses of the different villages of Sardinia.

The statue of the saint is carried in procession from the Church of Saint Efisio, along the city centre and then to Nora (in the town of Pula), the place where he was martyred.
