🤾‍♀️ Handball Manager puts you in charge of a women's handball club, from the summer transfer window to the last match of the season, and then the season after that. You pick the squad, set the tactics, sign the players and answer to the board, while every other club in the world does the same.

Each country plays its real competitions in their real formats: play-offs, split tables, best-of-three and best-of-five series, two-legged ties, cup final fours and supercups.

Watch your matches live, under each competition's own TV-style scoreboard, with half-time and full-time screens. From the bench you can:

• change tempo, attack focus, defensive system (6-0, 5-1, 3-2-1 or man-marking) and aggression

• make substitutions, or let the bench rotate tired players

• call time-outs and pull the goalkeeper for a seventh court player

• name who takes a seven-metre, and which keeper faces one

⚙️ HOW A MATCH IS PLAYED

Nothing is decided by a dice roll on the scoreline. All fourteen players move on the court, and every attack is played out. The player on the ball weighs her options – shoot, drive or pass – by the chance each one creates. Pace and stamina decide who gets back in defence. Where a shot goes depends on her finishing, long throws and composure, on the distance and angle, and on how closely she is marked. A defender's arms can block it. The keeper's reflexes decide how soon she reacts, her height and reach how much goal she covers, and her agility how far she dives. From close range a shot beats any keeper's reaction; from nine metres a good keeper has time. Fouls bring free throws, seven-metres and two-minute suspensions, more of them the harder you tell your defence to go in. Tired players slow down, and the opposition coach changes tactics with the score.

📅 A SEASON, DAY BY DAY

Players train, recover and get injured. Fitness carries from one match to the next, so a busy week needs rotation. Players have morale, a captain and the playing time you promised them, and a player left on the bench too long will ask to leave.
