The source of the information presented within the application is The National Institute of Earth Physics (NIEP) http://www.infp.ro/
The application marks the latest recorded earthquake on the map, together with information regarding magnitude, depth and the date when it occurred.
For each earthquake within the archive, together with the summary information, a seismic map that shows the distribution of the overall intensity on the country’s territory is displayed.
In the second tab of the application you can search for earthquakes by their minimum magnitude and the time when they occurred. The results of the search are displayed as a list of information from which you can select each event to be viewed on the map.
For the information of the application to be updated, an internet connection is required. Location services are also used to place you on the map within the area where you are currently found.
NIEP wants to obtain feedback regarding the earthquakes impact clicking " I felt this!".
NIEP encourages users to select the amount of intensity (Mercalli degrees) nearest describing how the earthquake was felt by selecting an option from the 12 degrees set.
