Owner Chef Dean Corbett is often called the Dean of Louisville's restaurant scene. Over the last 30 years, Corbett has built a stellar reputation in the Louisville community as not only a chef and proprietor, but also a beloved humanitarian, entertainer and family man. He owns two popular, award-winning restaurants in Louisville: Equus & Jacks Lounge and Corbett's: an American place. Chef Corbett’s many accolades include being inducted into the Honorable Order of the Golden Toque, the highest recognition a chef can receive in the U.S., and has had the honor of cooking at the James Beard House on three occasions. He also was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Kentucky Restaurant Association. When not hard at work Chef Corbett enjoys spending time with his wife and their three sons.
