It’s been 13 years since our companies launched this annual meeting of our communications teams, and it’s always been one of the highlights of the year for me. The Consortium is a terrific professional development and networking event that allows us to compare notes on emerging trends in the world of communications, discuss the opportunities and challenges facing our profession, and, most importantly, to learn from one another.
Our theme this year is “Breaking Through.” At a time when we are inundated with news, videos, tweets, selfies, posts, emails, and texts from brands, we’ll discuss how the role of communications is evolving. We’ll also share real-life, real-time lessons about how to connect with today’s audiences. The planning team has put together an excellent agenda that includes representation from each of our companies plus a number of outside guest speakers.
