ICARES Mobile Learning Application or ICARES is a mobile application that has been developed to cater the need of personalized learning. Mobile learning personalization in ICARES focussing on the user’s intelligence based on Multiple Intelligence Profile. Multiple Intelligence Profile was adapted from Howard Gardner’s work in classifying individual based on their strength and ability.

The main function of the mobile educational application system which is given a trade mark of iCares is to provide a mobile application that is able to assist the user to test and classify their multiple intelligence profile, then, recommend a wide range of mobile educational applications for the user to enhance and improve their physical, emotional, cognitive and skill level.

The mobile applications currently available in the market are usually games that are too entertainment-oriented, lack in educational contents and accompanied by inappropriate contents and graphics for children. The ICARES was developed and able to organize, filter and classify the mobile applications according to appropriate contents and graphics for student or children. All the mobile learning applications in iCARES was filtered and reviewed by experienced teachers and graduate students. These applications were selected based on Malaysian education syllabus and based on higher order thinking skills.
