It is tough to find a browser that doesn't make sacrifices. In my experience most mobile web browsing consists of basic tasks like opening links from other apps or opening the browser to quickly look something up. However, most browsers can do MUCH more than that but at what cost? Many of the top browsers of today are bloated, slow, complicated, confusing, and not designed for mobile needs. At the other end are completely stripped down browser that are fast and simple but they are usually ugly. I set out to design a browser that is the best of both worlds. Speed, simplicity, and beauty all in the same app.

This is a no-frills browser with a small footprint that will work on slow connections and slow devices providing smooth scrolling and zooming unlike most modern (and heavily bloated) mobile browsers. Amped browser is as much as 10x faster than Chrome loading websites on slow networks such as 2G thanks to optimizations that automatically enable when you are on a slow network. This is not a browser for the power user as there are hundreds of alternatives that provide a long list of features to meet any need. Amped Browser has a short list of features intended to keep resource use to a minimum. This browser is fast and has a small memory footprint which also means less power consumption.

Amped Browser simply gives you what you want to see and nothing more. This means there are no tabs, quick gestures, complicated settings, hacky flash support, etc. This browser was designed for those who want something simple that just works and doesn't need extra features.

Amped Browser uses Android's built in features to manage privacy of browsing data. This prevents myself or others from obtaining any browsing data. Plus, you will immediately benefit when Google releases updates that improve security without the need for this app to be updated.
