Acadiana Artiste is a monthly newsletter and calendar we created to keep Lafayette informed about everything performance arts related here in Acadiana. We hope this project will help support, promote, and grow our thriving community of performance artists and keep them connected with the city that loves them!

The publisher, Brooklyn Woods is a local performer who saw the need for a calendar of all the performances in Acadiana. She is a mother of five children, four of those five attend the public Arts Academy schools, are in The Talented Arts program and perform in community shows and camps.

She quickly discovered that many of the parents who's kids were in the Arts Academy did not even know that these programs and events existed. So she put together one place to find out about local community performances as well as kids camps and classes/workshops for both kids and adults!
