It was burnt down in the 1930’s and rebuilt gain in 1933. It has had nine publicans in its history with one of them being Leo Burke who had the Hotel for over forty years. In the late 1960’s the Hotel was modified to add the Bistro and Motel Units. It went through major renovations again in the late 1980’s.
It has been updated as the years have progressed and is now a popular family venue for its Weddings, 21st, birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions.
Burkes Hotel has been a supporter of local sporting organisations and charities for many years.
