BOT PLUS app: all the information about medicines in Spain for the health professional.

BOT PLUS app is an application owned by the General Council of Official Colleges of Pharmacists (CGCOF), aimed at pharmacists and other health professionals, which allows quick and easy access to information on medicines for human use authorized and marketed in Spain, as support to daily professional practice.

BOT PLUS app includes administrative information related to the prescription, dispensing and financing conditions of medicines, as well as pharmacological information related to indications, dosage, contraindications, interactions or adverse reactions, among others.

The information collected in the BOT PLUS app comes from official information sources, such as the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) or the Ministry of Health. This information is collected, structured, codified and complemented by

CGCOF pharmaceutical services, to obtain a database with independent, contrasted and permanently updated content.

BOT PLUS app CONTENTS

- Complete and updated information on medicines and active principles for human use, marketed in Spain.

- Official conditions of dispensing, financing and prices of the

medicines, including national and regional homogeneous groups.

- Pharmacological information sheet for each medication or active ingredient divided into headings (indications, dosage, contraindications, precautions, adverse reactions, interactions, safety in pregnancy, lactation, children or elderly patients, etc.)

- Search engine for interactions between a patient's medication, allowing them to be classified by their importance.

- Search engine for interchangeable drugs to support the work of substitution by the pharmacist.

- Drug search engines by laboratory, pharmaceutical form or ATC group.

- Identification of batches of medicines withdrawn due to quality alert.

- Search engines for active ingredients by pharmacological activity or metabolic characteristics.

- Access to informative notes, safety notes or quality alerts from the AEMPS.

TERMS OF USE

- BOT PLUS app is intended solely for use by users

health professionals, in support of their professional work. Decisions in healthcare practice are the sole responsibility of the healthcare professional. The content generators and application developers have taken the utmost care in checking the data and adapting it. However there is always the possibility of inadvertent errors.

- The Terms of Service are presented for acceptance prior to accessing the service.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

- Android operating system version 9 or higher.

- 250 MB of free memory space. The initial download is 70 MB. Once the database is downloaded, it is decompressed, finally occupying about 250 MB.

- Wi-Fi or 3G connection for activation and initial download of contents to the

device, as well as for subsequent updates (of the app and of the

contents) that will be made available to users periodically).

- The information is stored locally, so no connection is necessary to use the application (off-line operation).

- The license allows the installation of the application on two devices.
