Visiting Boston? On a date? Want to impress your friends? In the evening, head to Boston's Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway (the lights are in the Wharf District Park area in front of the Boston Aquarium - map: https://goo.gl/maps/7BML6AECSk62) and use this app to change the light blades to light the Greenway in almost any color you can imagine!
Just go to the park once it's dark (maybe 8pm in the summer), then open the app and pick a color, say/type your own or press the random color button, then watch the lights change all around you!
Note: This app is just a personal project that I decided to share for fun. It's not affiliated with the park or the Boston Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy or any other related entity in any way. No guarantees on how long they will all the service to work - enjoy it while it does! Please don't abuse it or it will likely be shut down. Also, please consider contributing to the Conservancy if you enjoy using it.
The original light blades project was created by New American Public Art - learn more at http://www.newamericanpublicart.com/.
Note on SMS Permissions: The app uses SMS to send the color change, so it requires access to text message service and will send a text each time you choose a color (could incur text charges depending on your mobile plan). I don't collect/store any data through this app or use it for anything else nefarious. It's just for fun.
