If this app crashes on start, go to Settings -> Apps -> Birds Near You -> Permissions -> Location and enable location access for this app!
This app is based around the Google Maps interface and the eBird open API. By polling the latest submissions of birds nearby, the locations and information of bird species is provided on a handy google maps interface.
Select a radius (km) and number of days previous to receive a list of birds that have been sighted/submitted to the eBird database near your position.
Long-press the map to change the location you'd like to focus on to view other locations on the map.
Use the "Follow Me" option to lock onto your location and update the birds within a radius as you move. (Great for birdwatchers on the go!)
